Position Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineering Instructor to join our team. The Software Engineering Instructor position will play a substantial role in leading the technical training programs and supporting our justice-involved individuals. They will contribute to Justice Reskill’s learning platform, fulfilling the needs of our students, along with regulatory requirements and quality management. The Technical Instructor will interface directly with our technical team and build the curriculum for our learning platform to ensure students are prepared for a successful restart in thriving careers and lives.

Job requirements


  • Plan and direct learning curriculum, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences, and workshops
  • Provide engaging program communications to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of training
  • Collaborate with functional team leaders to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as the effectiveness of established programs
  • Develop a program delivery schedule that provides training as needed
  • Facilitate evaluations and assessments of projects and individual student progress
  • Create, edit, and improve instructional materials that are aligned with the learning goals of the Justice Reskill curriculum
  • Research, prepare, and deliver lessons in a way that is both engaging and effective
  • Build and execute effective individual student remediation plans to ensure that all of our students become successful justice-involved individuals
  • Identify and respond to cohort-wide remediation needs, crafting supplemental lectures and lesson plans
  • Experience: 5 years + experience in training, meeting facilitation, curriculum development, and leadership development
  • A track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with and among a diverse group of stakeholders
  • A demonstrated commitment to producing consistently high-quality work, even in the face of obstacles
  • Experience with the methods and principles for designing programs to teach, train, and instruct both groups and individuals
  • In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning, and coaching)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent at relationship-building, results-oriented, and has strong project management skills

Salary + Benefits

The annual salary for this position is $65,000 - 75,000. Justice Reskill offers health, dental and vision benefits, a 401k plan and a culture that is collaborative, hardworking, and fun.
